MonkeyJazz Creations was born in March 2011. I started doing wood crafts to prevent myself from focusing too much on the loss of our 4-year old daughter the previous Thanksgiving. The grief and loneliness were often crushing and always painful, so I took to crafting in an effort to put my mind at ease. Thankfully, it worked, and I was able to channel all my negative energy into creating beautiful pieces that I knew my daughter would be proud of. As things picked up and I got more involved in it, Wooden It Be Nice (the original name of my creations) became MonkeyJazz Creations, after the two most important things in my life: my children.
